Kicking Off the Week with Music, Ice Hockey, and Radio Fu

The start of a new week always brings a mix of excitement and energy, especially when your work spans live radio, DJ gigs, and ice hockey events. For me, Monday mornings kick off behind the microphone at Atom Radio Breakfast Show, where I get to greet listeners from 6am to 10am. There’s something special about that early-hour connection, hearing people’s stories, and delivering the music that helps them start the day on a high note.

Between the tunes, I also sneak in a bit of behind-the-scenes creativity. Whether it’s prepping segments, curating playlists, or thinking about the upcoming week, it’s all part of the fun.

This week, I’m especially excited about Friday’s DJ night at Slough Ice Arena. Friday evenings bring a different energy—louder music, a dancing crowd, and that buzz you only get when people are out to unwind. Mixing live music for an audience in person is a completely different challenge to the radio studio, and it’s a thrill every time.

Of course, my week isn’t just about radio and DJing. I also work on voiceover and audio production projects, helping clients bring their audio ideas to life. From creating podcasts to recording professional voiceovers, the craft of audio is something I’m passionate about and love sharing with others.

Whether you’re listening to the breakfast show, coming to the Ice Arena, or checking out one of my audio projects, the start of the week is a great reminder that a mix of creativity, music, and connection keeps life interesting.

So here’s to a week full of tunes, ice hockey, and maybe even a little behind-the-scenes radio magic. I hope you’ll follow along, whether it’s on the airwaves, at the rink, or online!
