Saturday 30th November – Slough Jets Programme

Good evening and welcome to the final game of November. Advent starts tomorrow, the countdown to Christmas starts tomorrow and the season is gathering pace. We’re only a few weeks from the mid point turn around already!

Tonight we face the Phantoms after a tough weekend. Last weekend we played Swindon and Bracknell and Saturday we were edged out by a goal in seven. Sunday showed the mammoth effort that Kamil and the players put in every game. We are short on players, we are still looking for a replacement for Tomas Fojtik in D and that means that the defence are working extra hard to cover that gap. The forwards are also having to think more two way in their play and on Sunday we showed what happened when fatigue finally hits. Saturday was a valiant performance and took a lot out of the team, Sunday was just a stretch too far for everyone.

Hopefully after a week of training and re-focussing we’ll be ready for the challenge of the Phantoms tonight. The Phantoms are having a tough time of it this season also, but they are holding the Tigers off from overtaking them despite the much talked about new financial injection in the Shropshire side.

What we need tonight is every fan in the stands to make themselves known for the whole 60 minutes. Let’s make the atmosphere electric, let’s be the extra man for the team tonight, let’s clap, cheer, shout and sing and do our bit. Make no mistake the Jets are over-achieving so far this season so let’s do what we can to keep that run going.
Enjoy the game Mark
