Saturday 28th September – Slough Jets Programme

Good evening and welcome to the final home game of September already! Tonight we welcome the Telford Tigers to the Hangar after what’s been a tough start to the season.

It’s been a tough start to the season for the Jets. Tough opponents, Ryan Watt’s suspension and then a list of injuries building while we’re not even a month in. Tonight’s opponents are often referred to as the hardest working team in the league and everyone has to admire what the Tigers achieve and how. Our team is already showing that they are hard working, already showing that they will play for each other and Danny Milton in particular has received nothing but praise for his performance last Sunday by all who saw it. Considering Danny didn’t know he was playing until the last minute, and the way the guys have rallied round to cover the absence of Ryan and Danny Rose has been great to see.

I appreciate that the start of the season has been frustrating for you guys with no home league win to cheer on yet but it’s vital you guys keep on side, keep clapping, cheering and shouting and playing your part as the extra man.

Next week is a local derby with the Bracknell Bees in town. They made many changes both on and off the ice over the summer and at the time of writing this they are yet to secure their first points this season. We’re at their place tomorrow before they come to us next Saturday so let’s pack the Hangar out for the local rivalry next weekend and don’t forget your £1 to skate after the game too!

Enjoy tonight’s game.

My team, your team, OUR TEAM
