Saturday 26th October – Slough Jets Programme

Welcome to the Jets fans, Bison fans and any neutrals to tonight’s game against the Basingstoke Bison. Games between the Jets and Bison rarely disappoint in terms of entertainment so I’m sure we’ll be in for a good game tonight.

Last weekend was a good weekend for the team with a 4 point weekend and a comprehensive win over Guildford in their own barn. There aren’t many visiting teams that are going to way away from the Spectrum with 2 points earned so convincingly. It’s great to see the Jets powering towards the top half of the table and it’s only a short matter of time until we’re back where we belong.

Since last weekend we’ve said goodbye to two players and losing a player is never easy for anyone. It’s a tough choice for the coach to make, it’s tough on the team mates and it’s tough on everyone involved too. Rocky has been a Jets for four complete seasons plus the start to this one so has been a long serving player and Tomas is a really nice guy as well who hasn’t been with us that long. The decision to change was difficult for Slava and not taken likely but he believes he has changed for the better and Kamil will be making his debut tonight. Let’s give him a big welcome when he skates out on Hangar ice for the first time in a game tonight.

Everyone has their own opinion on the changes and everyone is entitled to their opinion but what’s important here is the Slough Jets and the guys on the ice need your support. With the speed of the game it’s tough for the players to see the crowd but they can’t help but hear if you roar your support all night long. Get drumming, get clapping, get singing, get cheering, get shouting and let’s get right behind the Jets!

Enjoy the game
