Welcome back to the Hangar for this weekend against the Manchester Phoenix. We come in on the back of the most talked about game last weekend following the “afters” towards the end of the game. Word on the forums is that Kristoffersson took exception to what appears from all the footage I’ve seen to be a perfectly legal hip check. Why he would decide to bring his grievance to the bench is a mystery and with Andrew Sharp on the ice at the time the rest is history.
At the time I’ve writing we have not heard back from discipline however I was asked on Tuesday to provide video footage leading up to and including the incident so that was uploaded for the discipline committee to view on Tuesday and I expect we will have had the decision by Wednesday.
Tonight it’s Manchester Phoenix who visit the Hangar and they are in with a decent shout of adding to their 2013 Play-off trophy this season. Tony Hand is a key figure for them, rumours circulating that he will “manage” his workload in terms of playing will be the crucial factor I think in separating Manchester and Guildford as out and out favourites.
