Audio Journey – Coronavirus home working

With many people being encouraged to work from home I want to take a look at setting yourself up for working from home.

The most important thing right now is to keep yourself safe and give yourself the best chance of remaining healthy.

In an ideal world for working from home you’d have a booth or studio set up in a quiet location with sound treatment. This would enable you to use a condenser microphone and get the best sound quality possible. But in the event you don’t have access to a home studio that’s sound-treated you can still work at home using a dynamic microphone which is generally more forgiving to room reflections.

Finally, there’s also a suggestion that isn’t perfect but does get you usable audio with a condenser microphone in an untreated environment.
