Your audio journey – Part 10 – Introduction to Buses

This week I go into a little more detail on something I touched on last week and that’s the use of buses in multi-track editing.

Buses are in essence a way of routing a number of tracks to one bus. An example of this would be where you are creating a voiceover and want to do the same processing on each track but also have an option to apply different processing to each individual track.

You would route each voice track to the bus and put the common processing in the bus effects rack while each track can have its own processing in the effects rack for the individual track.
