It’s Friday! It’s the weekend and it’s new music day. Six new additions, all from the chart, go into the playlist this week.
Robin Schulz & Lillywood – Prayer In C
Robin Schulz is a German DJ, aged 27, famed for two massive remixes. He remixed Mr Probz – Waves and then moved onto to Lillywood & The Prick – Prayer In C which is now, following his treatment, sitting at number one on the UK Top 40 singles chart.
Maroon 5 – Maps
Maroon 5 are now into their twelfth year and Maps is the first single from their latest studio album “V”. Likened by some to Bruno Mars – Locked Out Of Heaven in it’s similarity to the Police it’s already proven successful in the UK Top 40 Singles chart.
G.R.L. – Ugly Heart
G.R.L. is an American, British and Canadian act and Ugly Heart is their debut single. The single is about ending a relationship with a guy who initially appears nice but then reveals an ugly side to his personality. The single debuts in the charts this week in the shadow of the death of Simone Battle who was found dead by her boyfriend a week ago.
Ariana Grande Feat Zedd – Break Free
Zedd who enjoyed success with Foxes on the track Clarity features on this track, the second single taken from the album My Everything. The video to the track is inspired by the 1968 science fiction film Barbarella, Star Wars, and space in general.
Katy Perry – This Is How We Do
This is a pop, urban track from Katy Perry taken from her album Prism. It’s the fifth single to be released from the album and was written by Katy Perry with the track’s producers, Max Martin and Klas Åhlund
MKTO – Classic
MKTO sound pretty similar to Maroon 5, or Rixton and the song Classic was first released in the USA where the duo come from in 2013. It’s taken a year for it to head over to UK where it’s bound to achieve success.
