Hump day is the perfect time to reflect on the week so far. My work spans multiple creative areas, from live radio to DJing and ice hockey MCing, and midweek is when a lot of behind-the-scenes magic happens.
MCing at Slough Jets games is always a highlight. Announcing line-ups, hyping the crowd, and adding a bit of showmanship to each game makes every event unique. The energy from fans is contagious, and it’s a privilege to play a part in each live game experience.
Between live events, I also work on voiceovers and audio production projects. Whether editing a podcast, recording a professional voiceover, or mixing audio for a client, midweek is the perfect time to focus on creativity and fine-tuning work to perfection.
And of course, I’m always planning ahead for my Friday DJ night at Slough Ice Arena. Picking tracks, testing mixes, and thinking about the crowd ensures the weekend starts on a high note.
Midweek might feel like a pause in the hustle, but for me, it’s a chance to balance creativity, performance, and planning. Whether it’s on air, on ice, or in the studio, music and energy are always part of the mix.
